What counties are served by Metro Denver Bright Beginnings?
Metro Denver Bright Beginnings serves Adams, Arapahoe, Clear Creek,
Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson counties. This area is roughly north
to Thornton, East to Aurora, South to Parker, and West to Golden. If
you live outside these counties, please return to the Colorado Bright
Beginnings’ home page for contact information in other parts of
the state.
What Services are Provided?
Metro Denver Bright Beginnings currently offers two programs: Warm Welcome
and Moving On. These programs are provided through one-time home visits,
group presentations, and through community agency partners. Trained
volunteers and staff members deliver the programs or provide the training.
Materials are available in English and Spanish at NO COST to families.
All we ask in return from participants is their time and completion
of a data form that provides us with some demographic information for
our funding agencies. This information is kept strictly confidential
and is not shared with anyone outside of our organization. (Click here
to see the data form)
Home Visits
A trained volunteer or staff member provides a one-time home visit to
any family that requests our materials. A typical home visit lasts 45
minutes and is tailored to each individual family. Visits are done in
the home of the requesting family, but can also be conducted at a park,
restaurant, or other community building. Contact Monica Aden, Volunteer
Coordinator, monica.aden@brightbeginningsco.org, to schedule a visit!
Group Presentations
Looking for a guest speaker to present at your organization or support
group? We have provided group visits at places such as libraries, Mothers
Of PreschoolerS (MOPS) groups, and hospital parenting classes. Presentations
are approximately 45 minutes and are provided by a trained volunteer
or staff member. Contact us at 303-321-1214X31 to schedule a group presentation!
Community Agency Partners
Do you work with the zero to three population? Our train-the-trainer
model may be perfect for you. Community agencies receive an in-depth
training on all of the materials we provide as well as our data collection
process and then distribute our materials to patients/clients/families
they already serve. This free training takes 45 minutes to an hour either
at your site or our office. Training is provided by the Metro Denver
Bright Beginnings staff. A starter set of materials is provided at the
end of the training at no cost. Refresher trainings are provided.
Contact Cindy Banfield, manager, cindy.banfield@brightbeginningsco.org
for questions or to schedule a training!
